The Floating food forest is proposed to develop agricultural space within greenhouses that will float within the lagoon of the atoll. Slightly protected from heavy storms while impervious to the rise and fall of the seas or swells, it shall be designed for;
- High winds during storms
- Heat dissipation using passive automation for heat exhaust
- The power demands and technical complexity will be low to allow for simplicity for the users
- High water efficiency by recirculation
- Passive organic fish and vegetable production via application of aquaponics
