Women’s Emergency Preparedness for Pacific Islanders Workshop

WEPPI is an empowering initiative to enhance disaster resiliency among Pacific Island women through culturally relevant education and hands-on training. WEPPI equips participants with knowledge of natural hazards and emergency preparedness by focusing on women’s critical role in managing household safety.

The program features comprehensive workshops covering topics like two-week emergency kits, home safety regulations, hazard awareness, and emergency response activities, all tailored to Pacific Island communities’ unique needs and traditions.WEPPI fosters multi-generational dialogue, bridging cultural and technological gaps to build resilient and prepared Pacific Islander communities.

Our medical team will be visiting The Republic of Marshall Islands – Majuro, Arno, and Ebeye. Join us for an evening of storytelling, hosted by Dr. Riklon!�

In this virtual town hall, we will be introducing our team of doctors as well as gathering information for our team to better understand culture and community needs. This will give members of the community a voice to share their thoughts and knowledge of the medical concerns we are facing in the Pacific.�
