COFA Bill Meeting in Salem

On behalf of the CANN c4 board members, you are invited to participate and learn about a proposed bill (LC 235, see attached document) that would set up a COFA office within OHA/DHS. The unit would employ 4 people that would be COFA language speakers and familiar with the culture of the COFA populations in Oregon. 

We are inviting you to a meeting on Wednesday, December 4, at 1 PM at the Salem Public Library in the Plaza Room. We have also invited a staff member of OHA, Dr. Trevor Douglass, who has been an incredible advocate for the COFA people. He is generously taking vacation time to spend the afternoon answering any questions about how a COFA office might impact us. As leaders of COFA non-profits, your input and advice is highly valued and we look forward to sharing the bill with you and planning next steps.
