As an organization, Living Islands relies on the generous effort of our volunteers to make projects like the Junior Ocean Ambassadors Camp a reality. As a volunteer, you’ll join a growing community of activists, students, and community leaders from around the world in working to create a better future for Pacific Islanders. Your efforts will directly impact the lives of our Pacific Island community and contribute to a growing, global movement of ocean and island activism.
As a part of the Junior Ocean Ambassadors Camp team, you will have the opportunity to directly support Pacific Island youth in becoming leaders in this global movement for our oceans. Whether you’re a long-time volunteer or a passionate new activist, expert of ocean sciences, or enthusiastic beachcomber, we need your help to make this camp a reality.

Living Islands Volunteers at the 2017 UN Oceans Conference
- Fundraising & Event Planning: To raise the funds necessary to support the camp, we’ll be working on efforts from social media coordination to event planning, all based on our funding plan.
- Media: To spread the word about the camp, we’ll be doing a lot of work on website design, video editing, social media maintenance, and public relations outreach.
- Curriculum: In developing the curriculum and schedule of the camp, we’ll be building off ocean science materials, leadership lessons, and water sports training curricula to create a great experience for participants.
